Celebrity Working Moms Earn Millions of Dollars Annually

Who are the top celebrity working moms? Forbes ranked celebrity moms in Hollywood according to their estimated earnings from movies, album sales, salaries and income from endorsement and licensing deals. Celebrity working moms claim to struggle with work-life balance like the rest of us, but one thing they don't have to worry about is the cost of child care or how to cook healthy meals on a budget!

The iconic Madonna took the number one spot on Forbes' list of celebrity moms in 2008, thanks to grossing $105 million on tour, selling nearly 1 million copies of her latest album, Hard Candy, in the U.S., as well as endorsing Louis Vuitton, Sunsilk and Vodaphone, the magazine said.
Madonna's three children are:
- Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, born in October 1996
- Rocco John Ciccone Ritchie, born in August 2000
- David Banda Mwale Ciccone Ritchie, born in September 2005 and adopted by Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie in 2006.
- Madonna wants to adopt another child, a girl from Malawi.
Estimated earnings: $110 million
2. Reese Witherspoon
Actor Reese Witherspoon's film Four Christmases, co-starring Vince Vaughn, earned $160 million worldwide in 2008, according to Forbes. Combining her movie earnings with roles such as the international spokeswoman for Avon, Reese Witherspoon took in $24 million in 2008. She has two children, Ava and Deacon, from her marriage to ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

3. Gwyneth Paltrow
Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin of Coldplay have two children, Apple and Moses. In 2008, she co-starred as Pepper Potts in the comic book film Iron Man, which earned $580 million worldwide. She also writes a lifestyle newsletter called goop.com and endorses Estée Lauder and Tod's, according to Forbes.
Estimated earnings: $20 million
4. Julia Roberts
America's sweetheart Julia Roberts has three children with husband Danny Moder, twins Hazel and Phinneaus, born in 2004, and toddler Henry, born in 2007. Since her breakthrough role in Pretty Woman opposite Richard Gere, she's been considered one of Hollywood's most bankable leading ladies.
Estimated earnings: $17 million
5. Sarah Jessica Parker
The movie version of Sex in the City grossed $415 million and landed Sarah Jessica Parker in Forbes' top 5 celebrity working moms. Sarah Jessica Parker also has two Coty fragrance lines and an endorsement deal with Nutrisse. Her son James Wilkie Broderick was born in October 2002.

6. Angelina Jolie

Perhaps the most prominent celebrity mom is Angelina Jolie, who has six children with husband Brad Pitt: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. In 2008, she released three movies: Kung Fu Panda, Changeling and Wanted.
She's proof that even Hollywood moms can take the mommy track. "I think I'll be working a lot less as I get older," Angelina Jolie said in an interview last year. "Ideally I'd like to not go to work within the next year. … I haven't read a script in a year. I'm not looking for more and I'm very happy to be home."
7. Heidi Klum
Heidi Klum's work includes hosting Project Runway and Germany's Next Top Model; designing for Birkenstock shoes and Mouawad jewelry; and endorsing Jordache, Diet Coke and In an Instant Skincare line, Forbes said. Klum has three children with husband Seal: Helene, Henry and Johan.
Estimated earnings: $14 million
8. Kate Winslet
Roles in Revolutionary Road and The Reader won Kate Winslet critical acclaim last year, as she became the youngest actress to receive six Academy Award nominations. Kate Winslet endorses American Express and Lancome Tresor fragrance, according to Forbes. She has a daughter Mia, born in November 1998, from her marriage to director Jim Threapleton. She and current husband Sam Mendes have a son Joe, born in December 2003.

9. Kimora Lee Simmons
Kimora Lee Simmons runs Phat Fashion as the president and creative director in addition to her four fragrances and cosmetics line, Forbes said. Her two daughters, from her marriage to music mogul ex-husband Russell Simmons, appear in her reality television show Life in the Fab Lane.
Estimated earnings: $12 million
10. Kelly Ripa
You can see the number 10 celebrity working mom every morning on Live With Regis and Kelly. Between her television work and endorsement deals with Electrolux and TD Bank, Kelly Ripa raked in $9 million in 2008, according to Forbes. She has three children with husband Mark Consuelos: Michael, Lola and Joaquin.
